How does mental and spiritual health affect your physical health?  Often, negative events in our lives can have disastrous consequences for our physical health.  How many times has an emotional moment lead to a self-imposed exile on the couch with a pint of ice cream and a delivered pizza?

So much of how we feel is determined by how we think and what we believe.  If we allow ourselves to wallow in negativity and focus on what is wrong, we can't possibly enjoy vibrant mental health and will never achieve complete physical health.  On the other hand, a positive attitude and true faith in your own vibrant health can make all the difference in the world.

When the going gets tough at work or home, don't let negative feelings fester — get moving!  A brisk walk around the block gets the blood pumping and clears the mind.  After 20 minutes of activity, you'll have a new perspective and you will be ready to tackle the problem head-on. 

Smiling, prayer and meditation are awesome ways to begin letting go of what ever is bothering you.  When you pray you can't worry, when you don't pray you have room to worry.  And even better, get someone to pray with you and for you regularly.  Remember joy and happiness is a daily conscious choice, and it is your decision to make positive mental health choices each day.  Focus on what you have to be grateful for, life always looks better from that prospective.  Hey, so don't worry, be happy ;o).
