Just for Men
Information and Products just for "You."
Men have special needs too. Your biological clock is also ticking. Now you can do something about it. Young or aging, men need nutrient support to stay healthy and well as they age. Just like women, men after a certain age begin going through the change of life, it's called Andropause AKA Male Menopause or MANopause.
So what does this mean? It means that your body is slowing down. And in a long term, on going, nutrient deficient body it can happen very rapidly. It means that men's testosterone (male hormone) levels begin to decline with age starting as early as their 20's. So men also need HRT (hormone replacement therapy) at a certain point in your lives to maintain a higher quality of life as you age. Men need progesterone too (helps with heart, prostate health), this is another hormone necessary for good health that declines with age. The question is how much do you need? Where can you go for information and who can you talk to? Getting a hormone level assessment from a doctor who specializes in natural hormone replacement is important when looking at taking hormone pills or using hormone creams. Here are some of the signs of Andropause as men age.

“Men’s symptoms appear over the course of a decade or more and it becomes a very slow, insidious process that they attribute to getting older,” explains BodyLogicMD’s Dr. Michael Lee, “As men lose testosterone, they begin experiencing male menopause – or andropause.” Testosterone is key for building muscle and retaining memory in men. When they get into their late 20's or early 30's, men begin losing testosterone at a rate of 1% - 2% a year.
Although the first study on male andropause was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in the mid-1940s, it is only recently that the U.S. medical community has taken notice of this condition. Experts today say as many as 25 million American males between the ages of 40 and 55 are experiencing some degree of male menopause.
“Typically, men suffering from the symptoms of andropause are treated for a specific medical condition that is related, but not the root issue. Therein lies the problem,” Dr. Lee says. “It is common for an andropausal male to be misdiagnosed.” Here is where an expert opinion is really needed. You need a medical doctor who specializes in bio-identical natural hormone replacement therapy to provide specific testing for an accurate diagnosis.
For example, a man may be diagnosed with depression and prescribed an antidepressant. Both the doctor and patient think the man’s problem is addressed. However, if that man has other symptoms of male menopause, such as loss of libido, the antidepressant will only exaggerate that problem even more. That many times is the cause of men not wanting to take their prescribed medications (medication non compliance), because it affects his sex drive. So he then leaves that experience with the same problems while continuing to look for other solutions.
The American mindset tells us that there is a quick fix pill for everything, but there really isn't. Understanding the changing phases of your life and what you can do during this time with an experts opinion is by far the most helpful thing that you can do. Dr. Paul Savage, MD is one of the foremost experts on Andropause in the country today. He heads a team of doctors across the US who also shares his vision and understands exactly what is needed to support men as they age.
"HEY NEWS FLASH" - Did you know that men can also get breast cancer too. Exposure to estrogen and zenoesterogens found in plastics, in food and the environment are factors that contribute to this illness. With the increase use of chemicals in the the storage and commercial processing of foods, men and women are being continuously exposed to excess hormones and harmful chemicals that are being used regularly in the environment and foods. But now learn what you can do to age as a strong masculine man while being in the best of health. Why? Because we love and need you. Click > HERE.
Here is another bit of info! Men are also prone to osteoporosis (thinning bones) too. It's not just a women's condition that comes with aging. Generally men who are smokers are affected more than non-smokers. Research has shown that every 5th case of osteoporosis is in a man.

DHEA is a hormone precursor produced by the adrenal glands. After about age 25, the body’s production of DHEA declines, leading many experts to believe that DHEA plays a role in the aging process.

Research Study on
Prostate Cancer Prevention
An vitro (test tube) study showed Zyflamend suppresses the growth of prostate cancer cells and induces prostate cancer cells to self-destruct. Zyflamend has the ability, in culture at least, to reduce prostate cancer cell growth and induce cancer cell death or "apoptosis (normal cell death in living organisms)." Zyflamend might have some chemopreventive utility against prostate cancer in men. In the laboratory, treatment of prostate cancer cells with Zyflamend dramatically decreased COX-1 and COX-2 enzyme activity and attenuated cancer cell growth. This is a nutritional supplement, not a drug. INFORMATION SOURCE: Nutrition and Cancer, October 2005. Until actual human studies are done, it will not be known what kind of an effect a Zyflamend supplement will have on human health and disease. A trial is currently underway to determine the role of Zyflamend in prostate cancer prevention. |
