How to Detox
Detoxification is a very important part of the healing process. There are 3 primary areas of toxicity.
Heavy Metal Poisoning - Usually found in areas of manufacturing. Especially in exposure to lead based paints. If you live in property constructed more than 30 years ago, you've probable been exposed. Because the initial painting of these structures was with lead based paint. Heavy metal is difficult to get rid of once you discover that you've been exposed. It stays in the body and mimics other standard illnesses that people go to the doctor for such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, heart disease, diabetes, cancers etc.
Preservatives, Additives and Environmental toxins - Prepared/processed foods, MSG, medications, sick building syndrome (most people work and live in building that don't have windows that open). We live breathing recycled and other peoples air most of the time.
NOTE: Although medications are necessary for people who are taking them, medications still create systemic toxicity. Understanding how to naturally detox while taking medications is helpful.
Chronic Constipation - Did you know that most people retain some stool in their intestines after having a bowel movement. Why? Because most people consume a SAD (Standard American Diet) diet daily. READ MORE . . .
So where do you begin?
The place to start is with your diet. Increase "organic" fruits / vegetables, increase fiber, increase daily water intake, but decrease fluroidated water, increase good bowel flora (by taking Probiotics), decrease processed foods, decreased starchy foods, decrease intake of organ meats (when meats are not organic, they have increased toxins due to processing). Sweat, a steam room / saunas helps to cleanse to body.
